Nebula
Nebula transforms harsh light into a soft, living atmosphere. It is a dual character design that combines the precision of digital manufacturing with tactile warmth. During the day, it exists as a sculptural centerpiece; when illuminated, it becomes a sensory luminaire that softens the environment. It elevates lighting from a mere visual tool to an atmospheric element of the living space.
The semi transparent, fluid body acts as a sculptural diffuser. The micro layered texture created by 3D printing controls, refracts, and disperses the warm LED light. This interaction casts rhythmic shadows along the curves of the form, providing a soft and ambient illumination rather than harsh, direct light.
The design creates an unexpected material contrast: the smooth, structural rPETG and rPLA body is balanced by a soft plush base. This juxtaposition breaks the typically distant stance of modern lighting, inviting the user into physical interaction. It complements cold technology with a human centric touch that brings a sense of warmth and tactility into contemporary interiors.
