Nebula
A sculptural object by day. A living atmosphere by night. 3D-printed in recycled rPETG, finished by hand.

Design Features
Sculptural Diffusion
The semi-transparent, fluid body acts as a sculptural diffuser. Its 3D-printed micro-layered texture is engineered to control, refract, and disperse warm LED light evenly across its surface.

Rhythmic Illumination
The interaction between light and form casts rhythmic shadows along the curves of the body. This design choice ensures a soft, ambient glow that eliminates harsh glare and creates a calming environment.

Material Contrast
The juxtaposition of structural rPETG and a soft plush base breaks the cold distance of modern tech. It invites physical interaction, adding a human-centric touch and warmth to the interior experience.

MECHANISM
Built to be opened, not thrown away
A modular cable system allows any part of Nebula to be replaced on its own — extending the life of the whole object without full replacement.
SUSTAINABILITY
Designed against waste, from the first layer
RECYCLED
rPETG / rPLA
Main structural components are printed in recycled, recyclable material — chosen before the form was finalized.
ADDITIVE
Zero subtraction
Layer-by-layer 3D printing builds only what's needed, without offcuts, moulds, or subtractive waste.
MODULAR
Serviceable parts
Repairable by design. The cable system and LED can be serviced or swapped independently of the sculptural body.
ON-DEMAND
Local production
Made to order, close to the customer — reducing transport distance and overproduction risk.
Designer's note

Nebula transforms harsh light into a living atmosphere, blending digital precision with tactile warmth. More than an object of illumination, it is a sensory experience—built with a modular, recycled system, designed not to be thrown away, but to be kept, lived with, and sustained over time.
